Yonder

We were so lucky this week with the weather, that now the rain has come I am really feeling resentful.

Ive had a a few days of wonderful photo taking, and today we have been in our pj's until 2pm and not wanted to leave the house.

We attempted to go swimming this morning, but were faced with road closures due to the river banks bursting and the water flooding.

Yes that was an experience! In Australia you don't exactly get trained in driving flooded roads! I now have a sworn enemy of a farmer who expected me to reverse for 3 miles so he could drive his massive tractor! Well cut to the Australian girl reversing with head out the window, anger pouring out, fingers flying! Hopefully he is not a local :)

We did however get home, thanks to my daughters relief who is now asking what the word "w***er" means! Oh gosh!

Anyway feeling cooped after a while we went to yonder around the houses and explored the muddy fields.

I love this photo as it has my children's personalities in the one shot.
Daughter storming ahead already moaning and wanting to get to warmer climates. Son chasing her, but then suddenly wandering to his own thoughts, in his own world (by the way he is actually heading for a flowing river ravine!)

End result, shot taken, boy was saved and girl returned home to the television :)
Mother in need of a strong coffee!
